QNET donates to Northern Regional Chief Imam

QNET, a global e-commerce business on Monday, May 27, presented assorted food items and an undisclosed amount of money to the Northern Regional Chief Imam, Sheik Abdul-Salam Ahmed to help underprivileged Muslims during the Ramadan.

The items included bags of rice, gallons of oil, boxes of bottled mineral water, boxes of tomatoes paste, boxes of assorted drinks and sanitary materials.

Presenting the items, an independent representative of QNET, Mr Abdulai Iddrisu said the gesture formed part of the organisation’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) of showing love and putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged in the Month of Ramadan.

He said the items would go a long way to support the Chief Imam to feed the needy who were dependents on him during the fasting period.

According to QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, “QNET has been consistent over the years with its Ramadan charities.”

“We reach out to society to help people,” he said, adding "As we make progress in our business, we believe in spreading the joy and fulfilment that come with it.”

For his part, Shiek Salam expressed gratitude to QNET and promised to ensure that needy people benefited from the donation.

QNET in line with its tradition and commitment to helping society and bringing joy to many less-privileged ones continue to support communities around the globe.
