Mensah-Duku and Paul Awini promoted to Commissioners

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promoted two Deputy Commissioners of Police to the rank of Commissioners of Police (COP).

They are Mr Kwasi Mensah-Duku, the current Ashanti Regional Police Commander and Mr Paul Manly Awini, the Central Regional Police Commander.

The promotions, which took effect on July 1, 2019 was on the recommendation of the Police Council, according to a police wireless message seen by Graphic Online.

The message stated that President Akufo-Addo has approved the recommendation of the Police Council for the two to be promoted.

President Akufo-Addo in April this year promoted five senior police officers from the rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police to Commissioners, including the current CID Boss, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.
