He said that was the best way to ensure that students who finished their courses would be efficient in the practice of law in the interest of the country.

He made the statement in Accra last Friday when he presented assorted law books to the Faculty of Law of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on behalf of the GSL.

The books, valued at GH¢20,000, are meant to boost the study of law in the KNUST.

“This donation is due to the cordial relationship between the GSL and the Law Faculty at KNUST. When we wanted a place in Kumasi to begin a law school, it was KNUST that hosted us and cooperated with us very well. It is our greatest desire to return their good deeds by giving them something as a form of appreciation,” he said.

The Dean of Students at KNUST, Mrs Lydia A. Nkansah, who received the donation on behalf of KNUST, expressed her appreciation to GSL and promised to put the books to good use.

“The Ghana School of Law has demonstrated its commitment to legal education in Ghana by this generous donation. The books are in the basic areas of core courses in law, including the Law of Contract, Criminal Law, Company Law, Family Law, Land Law, and Law Reports,” she said.

She said the books would serve as reference materials for the teaching of law at KNUST.
