He resigned in July this year to contest the Wa West Constituency seat on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Media reports say Mr. Tuubo, has already been interrogated over the matter.

But speaking on Accra based radio station, Starr FM on Wednesday, Mr Abraham Amaliba, said their client is yet to receive an invitation from any of the security agencies investigating the matter.

“I can confirm to you that Mr. Tuubo has not been invited by the BNI as alleged. Tuubo as of yesterday was in his constituency in the Upper West Region. Mr Tuubo to the best of my knowledge from the checks I made this morning has not been connected to any coup d’état.

“And he is not appearing before any court this morning as alleged. The only person I have told who is appearing before the court this morning is Dr. Agordzor. As the legal team, we have not received any phone calls. He has not indicated to us that the BNI has reached him on any matter”

Amaliba further stated that although his client confirmed being on a platform created by Dr Palm, he said he had no idea of the alleged coup plot.

“He said the platform created by Dr Plam has a lot of people on it and he himself is on that platform, but he had not indicated that he has knowledge on any coup d’état”.
