Rev. Owusu Bempah reacts to attack on his church

The Founder and Lead Pastor of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah has reacted to the vandalisation of his church by some irate youth on Wednesday.

The Muslim youth Wednesday afternoon attacked and vandalized the Odorkor branch of the church following death prophecies Rev Owusu Bempah released on New Year’s Eve.

According to him, some Ghanaian leaders, including the Chief Imam, Sheik Nuhu Sharabutu, will die this year.

 As a way of expressing their fury against the prophecies, the irate youth destroyed the signboard at the church premises before heading into the main auditorium.

They also threatened to deal with Rev Owusu Bempah till he comes out to apologise for the ‘prophecies of doom’.

But reacting to the attack on his facebook page, Rev Owusu Bempah quoted from Matthew 16:18 which says "...I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it".

He urged Ghanaians to pray for the church, "Let’s pray for the church and let’s be strong as Christians," the post added.
