National Peace Council decries increasing kidnapping cases in Ghana

The Chairman of the National Peace Council (NPC), Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante has decried the recent spate of kidnapping and high profile murders in the country.
Lamenting the growing insecurity at an event to mark International Peace Day in Accra on Friday, he warned that the menace will continue if citizens do not join forces to tackle such crimes.
“The need for peace in this country has never been more apparent than in this present time… The NPC calls on all citizens both home and abroad to back up because the task ahead is critical to the development of our society.”
