Karpowership Ghana not responsible for power outages — Management
Karpowership Ghana has dismissed claims that it is responsible for recent power outages, affirming that its operations remain fully functional.
The power generation company confirmed that it continued to operate at full capacity to meet the nation’s energy demands.
Speaking on the matter, the Corporate Communications Manager of Karpowership Ghana, Sandra Amarquaye, said: "We are operating within our limits to ensure a stable power supply, and remain committed to providing reliable and consistent electricity to the country".
On debt negotiations, Ms Amarquaye clarified that discussions with the government over outstanding debts were ongoing.

Karpowership Ghana currently contributes about 450 megawatts to the national grid, and is owed over $370 million by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Despite the state’s huge indebtedness to the company, Karpowership Ghana reaffirmed its willingness to engage in a mutually beneficial resolution.
“We understand the financial difficulties faced by the government, and are open to dialogue to resolve the issues in a way that works for both sides," the company’s Corporate Communications Manager stated.
Karpowership Ghana remains a key player in the country’s energy sector, operating a fleet of floating power plants that contribute significantly to the national grid.
