Apedwa Mbrantehene commits to unite youth for devt
The newly enstooled Mbrantehene of Apedwa, Nana Agyenim Boateng, has reiterated his commitment to bring all the youth of the area under one umbrella to ensure the development of the area.
He said the development agenda would focus on education, health, sanitation and promoting the culture of the people among the youth to ensure its sustainability.
Nana Boateng was speaking to the media after he had sworn an oath to the Apedwahene Osabarima Frempong Manso II at Apedwa in the Eastern Region at the weekend.
’’ I have a mission to unite the youth in the area and our goal will be to champion the cause of development and ensure that every youth, whether home or abroad, will contribute their quota to the development of the area’’, he said.
Tolerate each other
He called on the people to tolerate one another and live in peace for the speedy development of the area.
‘’Without peace and unity, we can’t achieve the development that we all crave for as a people’’ he stressed.
Nana Boateng expressed the need for the youth to show respect to the elderly in the community so that they could impart to them knowledge and experience gathered over the years to make them responsible future leaders.
He assured the chiefs and people of his continued support at fostering development to help raise Apedwa to regain its past glory.
About Nana Agyenim Boateng
Nana Agyenim Boateng, known in private life as Mr Alexander Kwaku Boateng, is a 42-year old businessman.
Until his enstoolment, he was the President of the Apedwa Youth Association and had been influential in lobbying for development to the town.
Among them was the rehabilitation of the Apedwa Clinic, upgrading of the town roads and installation of street lights in the community, which was themed: ‘‘operation one pole, one light’’ by the youth of the area.
The Apedwahene, Osbarima Frempong Manso II, commended the Mbrantehene for his enormous contribution to the development of the area and called on him not to rest on his laurels but continue to champion the cause of development for his people.
