Ghana Consulate in Toronto to launch DPE Canada 2027 on November 27

The Consulate-General of Ghana in Toronto is set to host the official launch of the Diaspora Property Expo Canada 2027, dubbed the Ghana@70 Edition, on Friday, November 27, 2026, at 11 a.m.

The launch will be held under the patronage of the High Commissioner, Her Excellency Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh. The Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, is among the personalities expected to speak at the event.

Others include Dr James Ato Orleans-Lindsay, President of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association, and Mr Emmanuel Jeffrey, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Agency Council.

The Diaspora Property Expo is one of Africa's biggest real estate exhibitions designed for Africans in the diaspora to explore property ownership and investment opportunities back home. It was originally launched at the Marriott Hotel in Accra in November 2024.

It was subsequently outdoored at the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC in January 2025 before hosting the main 2025 editions in Philadelphia in March 2025 and the Canada edition in Toronto in May 2025.

The 2027 expo will be held in two major editions: DPE Germany 2027 in March 2027 and DPE Canada 2027 from May 22 to 23, 2027, in Toronto.

The Canada launch will be used to unveil the first 20 top Ghanaian exhibitors for the 2027 expo. They include leading real estate developers, mortgage banks, financial service providers and allied service providers in Ghana's real estate value chain.

According to Professor Edu-Buandoh, DPE Canada 2027 forms an integral part of the Ghana@70 celebration in Canada. She said the High Commission is partnering the organisers — Diaspora Property Investment Limited, Aim 2 Impact, Made in Ghana Consulting Limited and other strategic partners — to ensure only vetted and Real Estate Agency Council-verified exhibitors are permitted to participate.

That stance, she said, is to ensure full transparency, avoid fraudulent dealings and make sure Ghana turns annual diaspora remittances into useful investments in the country.

The Exhibitions Coordinator of Made in Ghana Consulting Limited, Ms Jennifer Effah Sasu, said the launch would also unveil the full roadmap to DPE 2027, including activities for Ghana Week in Toronto 2027 and the Ghana@70 Celebrations in Canada.

The event is organised by Canada-based Aim 2 Impact and Accra-based Diaspora Property Investment Limited and Made in Ghana Consulting Limited, in partnership with the Ghana High Commission in Ottawa and Ghana Consulate General in Toronto, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources, the Real Estate Agency Council and the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association.

DPE Canada 2027 is co-sponsored by Dover Company Limited, Chiraq Multimedia Limited and Signum Developers.
