Cargo truck knocks and kills police inspector

A Police Inspector, Foster Ampomah of the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate was on Friday morning knocked down and killed by a cargo truck at Nante Zongo on the Kintampo – Techiman highway.
Inspector Ampomah and his other colleagues were said to be on duty on the road when the truck with registration number GE 7562-14 from Bolgatanga and heading towards Kumasi, driven by one Awudu Sumaila, 30, knocked and killed him on the spot.
Awudu is in police custody while the body has been deposited at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital for autopsy.
