Cape Tech old students present 100 bags of cement to support infirmary project
The Cape Coast chapter of the old students of the Cape Coast Technical Institute has presented 100 bags of cement towards the construction of the school's infirmary and library projects.
The Interim President of the chapter, Mr Ebenezr Quaicoo said the chapter members were worried about the delays in the completion of the infirmary and library projects.

He said teacher in the school who were old students were determined to galvanize past students to support the development of the school.
The Principal of the school, Mr Albert Adusei noted that the school was a technical school where students could be injured during practical work which may require urgent attention, but stated that they did not have a well-equipped infirmary to serve the basic health care needs.
He said the project was started with internally generated funds but that had not been forth coming, hence slowing the pace of the project.
Support Commendable
Mr Adusei said it was gratifying that the old students had come together to support the project.
He said the school after 63 years still had several infrastructure challenges and if that was not tackled, would affect the operations of the school.
He said only three teachers had accommodation on campus, adding that more bungalows were needed to accommodate staff to ensure effective student supervision.
Mr Adusei said he was optimistic that stakeholders, particularly the old students and institutions, would come to support the development of the school.
