A one-week intensive training in soap making has been organised for 50 participants drawn from four communities in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region.
It was aimed at equipping them to produce soap to earn a decent living. The women were selected from the Aboso, Benso, Ekroful and Akropong (ABEA) Cluster of Soapmakers.
The participants were taken through the making of laundry and toilet bar and liquid soaps.
The training, organised by the District Community Development Department, was sponsored by the Council for Technical and Vocational Training (COTVET) through the Skills Development Fund (SDF).
