The items included food and clothing.

The donation forms part of Ms Abrokwah’s school project and her desire to establish a relationship between her school, Mercy High School in Middleton, Connecticut in the USA, and OLA SHS.

Both schools are Roman Catholic high schools and she expressed the hope that the donation would open the way for further engagements that would lead to an exchange programme between them.

Ms Abrokwah chose OLA SHS for the donation of the items partly because it was the alma mater of her mother, Louisa.

Presenting the items on behalf of Ms Abrokwah, Rev. Father Delase Parku of the Sacred Heart Parish in Accra urged the management of the school to take the opportunity to bond with its counterpart in the USA.

For her part, the Headmistress of OLA SHS, Benedicta Agbezudor, pledged that the items would be put to good use for the benefit of the students.

She commended Ms Abrokwah for the gesture and urged her to pursue her dream to build a strong relationship between the two Roman Catholic educational institutions.
