Ideal College supports needy students
The Ideal College in Accra has granted scholarships to 20 needy students to cover their three-year senior high school education.

The students, who are victims of child labour, received full scholarships totalling GH¢120,000 for the three years.
The scholarship scheme which was initiated by SEWA Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that seeks to combat child labour and human trafficking in the country, included cost of tuition and feeding fees for the period.
Under the scholarship, Ideal College would sponsor two students each from the region where their institution was located.
MoU
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to that effect was signed in Accra.
The Executive Director of the foundation, Mr Jones Owusu-Yeboah, signed on behalf of the NGO, while the Public Relations Officer of the college, Mr Naphtalie Kyei Barffuor, signed for the college.
Mr Owusu-Yeboah expressed his appreciation of efforts of the college to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged and to enabled them to have acess to education.
Fighting poverty
He said the initiative was the first step to fighting poverty in the country since education was the key to success.
Mr Owusu-Yeboah encouraged other institutions to emulate the efforts of the college to assist poor students from the rural areas who usually ended their education at the junior high school level.
He also called on universities in the country to assist needy students to enable them to access education to the tertiary level.
Mr Kyei Barffuor promised that the college would continue to support needy children through education.
