Govt releases feeding grants to 3 northern SHS

Senior High Schools in the three Northern Regions will no longer be closed down due to the release of feeding grant by government on Friday.

Earlier,the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools - (CHASS) had warned that schools in the three northern regions would be closed down if government did not release their feeding grants by Friday.

According to the Chairman of CHASS for the Northern Caucus, Alhaji T.A. Mahama some of the representatives of the schools are currently in Accra to receive their cheques.

He noted that at the moment there was no cause for alarm and expressed optimism that all the schools in the three northern regions would have their share of the feeding grant provided they send their respective representatives to collect the cheques from Accra.
