EEZZY Group Foundation donates tractor, pickup and 20 motorcycles for Farmers' Day

The EEZZY Group Foundation has pledged its commitment to Ghana's agricultural development by donating a brand-new Nissan pickup truck, 20 brand-new motorcycles and a modern agricultural tractor in support of the 42nd National Farmers' Day Celebration 2026.

The presentation, held at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Accra on July 15, 2026, marked another milestone in the growing partnership between the private sector and government to strengthen agriculture and food security.

The donation forms part of the Foundation's broader commitment to improving the welfare of Ghanaian farmers and supporting President John Dramani Mahama's Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda, which seeks to modernise agriculture, improve productivity, create employment and ensure national food security.

Delivering his remarks, Mr Mohammed Raii, Chief Executive Officer of EEZZY Group, described agriculture as the very foundation of human existence and reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to supporting those who feed the nation.

"We are here today to present our humble gift to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Agriculture is life. Without agriculture, there is no nation and no future. Supporting our farmers means supporting every Ghanaian family."

Mr Raii also paid tribute to President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a visionary leader committed to building a stronger future for Ghana.

"I have never seen a leader who thinks more about the future of this great country than President John Dramani Mahama. His commitment to agriculture and national development is inspiring, and we are honoured to support this vision."

The Foundation's support includes one brand-new Nissan Pickup Truck for the National Best Farmer, twenty brand-new motorcycles to support agricultural operations and National Farmers' Day activities, and one brand-new modern agricultural tractor with complete accessories.

Receiving the donation, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, announced that the National Best Farmer will receive one of the most rewarding packages in the history of the awards, including a brand-new Nissan pickup truck, GH¢1.2 million cash prize, a brand-new agricultural tractor, and assorted modern farm inputs and equipment.

He further disclosed that the Ministry has also received two additional pickup trucks from other corporate organisations and a 50-seater bus for the Best Senior High School in Practical Agriculture.

The Minister announced that the National Farmers' Day Planning Committee, chaired by John Dumelo, will soon publish official bank account details to enable individuals and organisations to make financial contributions toward the celebration.
