Women in PR Ghana's 10th Annual Summit to Focus on Strategic Influence

Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana, a professional network dedicated to empowering women in public relations and strategic communications, will host its 10th annual summit from 2nd July to 4th 2026 in Accra, under the theme “10 Years of Positioning Women in PR as Catalysts for Strategic Influence and Change.”

The three-day hybrid summit will bring together communications professionals, corporate leaders, policymakers, academics, students, and development practitioners to explore how communicators can strengthen their strategic influence in a rapidly evolving communications landscape.

This year’s summit has been curated to provide practical insights on strategic communications, data and technology, storytelling, executive presence, and leadership. Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, masterclasses, and interactive sessions, the Summit will empower women communicators to lead with clarity, confidence, and measurable impact.

A major highlight of this year's programme is the introduction of a full-day Student Masterclass on the first day of the summit, which reinforces Women in PR Ghana's commitment to mentorship and ensuring that students graduate with both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace skills.

Organised in collaboration with the Department of Public Relations of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) and the Jobberman Ghana Happy Program, the Student Masterclass will equip aspiring communications professionals with practical industry knowledge, career guidance and employability skills.

Participants will also take part in an interactive crisis communication challenge where final-year students will analyse real-world scenarios and present strategic communication responses before a panel of industry experts.

Day Two (2) of the summit will feature two inspiring keynote addresses from distinguished African leaders whose careers exemplify purpose-driven leadership and influence.

Rosy Fynn, Country Director of the Mastercard Foundation in Nigeria, will deliver a keynote on “What Nobody tells you about influence,” drawing from her extensive leadership journey to explore the often-overlooked realities of influence. Her session will examine the role of credibility, relationships, emotional intelligence, strategic judgment, and consistency in building trust, shaping decisions, and leading with impact.

Lucy Quist, Founder of The Bold New Normal, will deliver a keynote on “Leading Beyond Titles: Advocacy, Influence and Nation Building,” challenging participants to rethink leadership beyond formal positions, demonstrating how purpose, advocacy, and influence can drive meaningful change in organisations, communities, and nations.

Day 3 of the summit will feature a keynote address by Senior Communications Strategist, Gifty Bingley, who will speak on “The Career Nobody Plans For: Lessons on Reinvention, Relevance and Influence.” Drawing from her journey across media, communications and leadership, she will share practical lessons on embracing change, navigating career transitions, and building a career defined by resilience, purpose and lasting impact.

The programme will also feature expert-led conversations on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, data-driven storytelling, data protection, governance, and the evolving role of strategic communications in influencing organisations and society.

President of Women in PR Ghana, Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, noted that the 10th Summit reflects organisation’s commitment to developing women communications professionals who can lead with influence and purpose.

“The Women in PR Ghana Summit has, over the years, become a platform where professionals learn, connect, and grow,” she said. “This milestone edition reaffirms our commitment to equipping women and the next generation of communicators with the knowledge, networks, and confidence to influence decisions, build trust, and create lasting impact."

The 2026 annual summit is supported by Calbank, Ghana Link, Karpowership, Mahogany Consult, Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS), FanMilk, Delcielo, Promasidor, Brickstone Construction, Tilly Farms, Jobberman’s HAPPY project, UniMAC,  Global Media Alliance, Eazy Tagg Technologies, and Comms of Africa.

Today, the organisation boasts more than 300 professional members across public relations, corporate communications, marketing, media, academia, government, development, and allied sectors.
