New Nkosuohemaa for Frante-Sekyedumase

The Frante-Sekyedumase Traditional Council has outdoored Patience Duncan, the deputy Chief Executive Officer of COA Research and Manufacturing Company as its Nkosuohemaa (development queen).

Under the stool name of Nana Akua Ahenesima, the  enstooled queen is expected to spur the development of the community.

She was out doored at a  ceremony which was attended by many including politicians, celebrities, actors, traditional and religious groups, as well as representatives from various groups and associations.

In a brief speech, Nana Ahenesima said her vision was to revive the culture and traditions of the people which had been forgotten or relegated to the background.

She called for the support of the people of the area to enable her to realise her dreams and vision to bring development to Frante through the promotion of culture and traditions.

Explaining the role of the Nkosuohemaa, the Frantehene, Nana Owusu Sekyere Bobo III, said the stool was created mainly for development purposes and called on the Nkosuohemaa to vigorously pursue and realise her development dreams for the Frante area.

He appealed to the Nkosuohemaa to rally the youth of the area, especially the girls and coach them to explore their potentials in order to reduce the spate of teenage mothers and promiscuity in the traditional area.
