The world of vest

Men’s fashion is not always complicated like that of women.  Men are usually seen in jeans, suit, shirt, polo shirt, African wear, among others.

It is just a few who are the fashion bangers and can appear in some crazy outfits just to make a fashion statement.

These days, it looks like the guys prefer to wear vest over their shirts unlike years back that you find the vest being worn as part of a three-piece suit.

Basically, a vest is a sleeveless garment covering the upper body. The term has different meanings around the world.

Some prefer  to call it the waistcoat and it is usually worn over a dress shirt and necktie and below a coat as a part of most men's formal wear.

It is also sported as the third piece in the traditional three-piece male business suit.

These days some of the hardcore fashionistas prefer to wear them like that without a shirt over a jean.

One advantage of the vest is that you can wear it to the office, wedding, party, church and other social functions.

Some key things to think about when looking for a vest are to make sure it fits nicely around the shoulders and under the arms.

Too much excess fabric will make it look like you have purchased a vest two sizes too big; the great thing about a waistcoat is it is meant to assist you in maintaining a more streamlined and tidy look.

It is good to ensure that your vest fits you like a glove and to see if it caters to your body type and your sense of style.

The vest might look simple but you might go wrong with it when not worn appropriately.

Always button your vest up. It’s supposed to make you look put together, so why would you want it any other way?

It is always good to leave the last button undone (like a suit jacket) so it doesn’t pull when you lift your arms up.
