The Kumasi Girls’ Senior High School confirmed its status as the hub of Ghana’s female hockey talents when it defeated the St. Louis Senior High School in the final of this year's inter-school hockey championship in Kumasi.

Nicknamed, K Gee,  Kumasi Girls SHS produced a spirited performance to end the fairy tale showing of St. Louis SHS with a lone goal to lift the trophy.

The captain of the winners, Sarah Addai, crowned an excellent afternoon to win the Best Female Player of the three-day competition, which was played on a grassless pitch in Kumasi.

Currently, K Gee boasts of dominating all the national teams, especially at the Under 17 level.
