RE: Your noise is killing us
I read the letter column of your esteemed paper of Monday, December 23, 2019 with great interest.
When I read the story, I was surprised that the churches under discussion were established ones and of repute.

My inclination was that some of their leaders, especially those who can stop that nonsense, should be sponsored to visit the Americas and the UKs to book hotels close to mosques.
Nobody will allow you to make that noise disturbing the public in the name of prayer.
This is utterly ridiculous!
Parliament should be urged to pass a law that will confine the noise churches and other religious organisations make.
Foreigners, especially Americans, who are trying to move to Ghana with their investment, will return to their country of origin because they can't take that kind of lawlessness that undermines the public peace.
The national mosque in Washington DC is located on Massachusetts Avenue going downtown. And this Avenue is where most of the embassies lined up.
In fact, you have to be notified before knowing that it is a mosque. Not that it is small, but just no noise.
They are confined to thier mosque everything remains there. Not only mosques, all churches too.
Maintaining his or her right to life as long as they don't infringe on yours.
And the law is so effective that an ordinary person will sue for any little thing.
Even a common party in your house cannot let somebody feel that you're disturbing.
The law will stop you.
Now some people will put public address system, the most noise making device on earth, on a wall early in the morning and make indiscriminate and outrageous noise in the name of prayer during the time the brain is fresh to make plans for the day.
Those who think they have money and, therefore, build their houses on the outskirts, the noise will soon catch up with them if nothing is done about this.
It is just a matter of one of them moving to that community.
Well done, indeed I read the article in the Daily Graphic and I said to myself waaaaooo the nail was hit at the right place.
But the question is will the authorities take action ? If yes when? A few years ago, I did the same thing,reported to A M A environmental section, the police etc but no action was taken so finally I proceeded to court, my lawyer and we spent one year up and down, finally the judge told us in the face that there was no evidence, just because she took bribe.
So we have a very long way to go.
In Ohio of the United States of America this cannot happen .
This time round let us get on board afresh as the courts are now willing to help.
