A new year starts today and several musicians would be busy celebrating the moment with their fans across the country.

In the nation’s capital, Adane Best will pitch camp at the Piano Bar at Greda Estates Roundabout, Teshie-Nungua.

Known for his clever use of the Ga language to tell touching, philosophical tales, Adane offers danceable stuff as well as items for fans to reflect over.

His well-known songs include Ayitey, Maafio, Soja Go Soja Come, Adesa, Sisi and Gyata Bi. Adane does not play a lot of live gigs these days so tonight’s appearance would be a wonderful opportunity for his fans to see him perform from 8.00pm.

Abrantie Amakye Dede will also bring another edition of his annual New Year bash at the Abrantie Spot, Abeka Lapaz, in Accra.

Also in attendance at the 7.00pm show will be singers, Lee Duodu and Kofi B. They are both experienced artistes who would help music lovers ease into the New Year with some great highlife pieces.

The +233 Jazz Bar and Grill at North Ridge in Accra will also  host guitarist, Chris Turkson and his Zuum Int. Band. That collection of instrumentalists has been around for quite a while and there is virtually no genre of popular music the guys cannot handle.

Mr. Music Man, Kojo Antwi, is slated to play tonight at the Centre for National Culture in Sunyani. It would be the Music Maestro’s tenth consecutive appearance in the Brong Ahafo capital.

The 7.00pm show includes delectable singer, Nana Yaa, and the Rainbow Tribe band led by Kwame Yeboah.
