She has won many admirers for her acting prowess but come Saturday, March 5, the Kumawood actress will be part of a line up artistes performing at the Akosua and the Highlife Heroes concert scheduled for the Atlantic Hotel, Takoradi in the Western Region.
The concert which aims at preaching peace towards this year’s general elections, will feature highlife stars such as Daddy Lumba, Nana Ampadu, Paapa Yankson, AB Crentsil, Amandzeba and K.K Fosu.
There will also be performances by gospel artiste, Obaapa Christy and Joe Beecham. All the artistes will be backed by the Immigration Band.
According to Akosua Adjepong, the brainchild of the concert, “apart from preaching peace, the event is also to give an opportunity to her fans in the Western Region to see her perform live.”
Akosua Adjepong told Showbiz she would go all out to thrill patrons at the show with songs such as Kokooko, Medo Wo, Meye Obaa, Asiwa and Frema.
“It is going to be fireworks on the day and I entreat everyone to come to the event and support a worthy cause,” she said.
She said Saturday’s event would be her first appearance in Takoradi since she began her music career 25 years ago and she would use the opportunity to treat the people of the Oil City to good music.
