Khendibeatz riding high after TGMA recognition

Winning Producer of the Year at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) has opened new doors for music producer Khendibeatz, who says the recognition has significantly elevated his standing in the music industry.

The producer, born Stephen Kofi Frimpong, believes the award was a validation of years of dedication and sacrifice behind the scenes.

"Winning Producer of the Year was a very proud moment for me. It felt like all the hard work, sleepless nights and sacrifices had finally been recognised. The award has definitely boosted my image and given me even more confidence in what I do," he told Graphic Showbiz.

Khendibeatz earned the prestigious honour for his production work on King Paluta's chart-topping song, Aseda, one of the biggest hits of the year.

According to him, the recognition has translated into greater visibility and new opportunities within the music industry.

"Since the TGMA win, more people have come to appreciate my work. I've received more calls, more collaborations and a lot more respect from industry players. It has opened doors for me and positioned me among the top producers in the country," he said.

Riding on the momentum of his success, Khendibeatz recently produced Give Up and See, a collaboration between King Paluta and award-winning rapper Sarkodie, a project he describes as another important milestone in his career.

"Working on a song that brings together artistes like King Paluta and Sarkodie is always exciting. It challenges you to bring your best, and I'm happy with how the project turned out," he stated.

The project adds to an impressive catalogue that has seen Khendibeatz establish himself as one of the country's most versatile producers. Through Khendibeatz Studios, he has expanded his role beyond beat-making to include recording, mixing, mastering and overall sonic direction.

Over the years, he has worked with notable artistes such as King Paluta, Sarkodie, Strongman, Black Sherif, Yaw TOG, Kweku Flick, Jay Bahd and Oseikrom Sikanii.

His ability to work across genres including hip-hop, drill, afrobeats and highlife has made him one of the most sought-after producers in Ghana's music scene.

Khendibeatz's technical expertise was also evident on King Paluta's Ewor Me, where he served as co-producer, mixing engineer and mastering engineer, overseeing the song's production from start to finish.

Despite his recent success, the producer says he remains focused on growth and excellence.
