Highlife time on AU Day

Pat Thomas billed to perform

Highlife  singer  Kwaisey Pee and his musician friends will perform at an event to celebrate African Union  (AU) Day on Saturday, May 25 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.

Musicians billed to perform on the night alongside Kwaisey Pee include George Darko,  Pat Thomas, Samini, Irene Logan, Kofi B, Nana Kontihene and Kesse.

There would also be a side attraction in form of a fashion show by  B. Venag Clothing. Dress code for the show is a touch of African.

The event is sponsored by Vitamilk, Media Pharmacy, Mr Delivery Man, B’ Venag Clothing and Accessories and Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra and organized by Planet One Multimedia.

On the same May 25, Bessa Simmons and his Bessa Band will also play at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in Accra to mark  AU Day. Guest performer on the night is Nana Tuffuor.

On 25 May 1963, leaders of 32 independent African states met to form the Organization of African Unity (OAU) which metamorphosed into the AU in 2001.
