Give me my car - Gospel singer demands of NDC
The popular musician named some top government officials including President John Mahama as those who promised but failed to give him the vehicle.
He said: “It was Koku Anyidoho and Nii Lantey Vanderpuye who came to me and asked me to do a song for the party. They claimed they did not have money but I believed money is not everything so we agreed on GHC 7,000. My ‘Most High God’ ran (their campaign) you for a whole one year for the GHC7,000; just imagine.
“Then I said when you win, (Koku and Nii Lantey) you will give me a 4x4 car and they said very well. Then when they won, whenever I called Koku, he won’t pick the call”. He said that later he and Lucky Mensah were given a chit to go to Tema port to collect a vehicle each. “My goodness, it was bad. We sat there for hours on end, there was no car so we left,” he said.
Pastor Akpadi insisted that he deserves compensation “and I am using your medium to petition the President that the car he asked to be given to me has not been given to me and I have had enough”, he said.
