The cook-off facilitated by Onga Ghana Limited formed part of the weekly tasks of the six remaining contestants who were put into three groups and assessed based on their cleanliness in the kitchen, comportment and presentation of their dishes as well as the taste.

The participants had earlier visited the Malata Market to purchase their ingredients before preparing their respective dishes at the TV3 premises in Accra.

After the dishes were presented, Group A comprising Ama Adomah Fauziah of the Brong Ahafo region and Adjoa Afariwa Dawson of the Eastern region came tops with a dish of Banku and Okro Stew.

They recorded 18 points out of 20 for their efforts which included Salad as a starter and a smoothie which they named Amariwa serving as dessert.

Group C which consisted of Ayesha Iddrisu Mahama of the Northern region and Vera Oheneba Safoah of the Central region placed second with 17 points after preparing Jollof as their main dish with goat light soup and bissap serving as their starter and dessert respectively.

Melody Fafa Bossman and Maame Akosua Ayiwa Sika representatives of the Volta region and Ashanti region placed third with 14 points with their dish of curry rice and a smoothie serving as dessert.

Events representative of Onga Ghana Limited, Raphael Awuku, who judged the contest said although all the dishes were delicious he awarded the highest marks to Group A because they prepared a typically Ghanaian dish using many local ingredients.

The winners of the competition, Ama and Adjoa were presented with a Master Chef Burner and hamper from Onga Ghana Limited while the second-placed team of Ayesha and Vera won Rice Cookers with the third place duo, Melody and Maame Akosua walking away with Blenders.
