DSTV: R2Bees eye BET award

R2Bees eye BET awardOn Sunday at the 2013 BET Awards, Ghana’s music duo, R2Bees, will  be competing with Nigeria's 2Face and Ice Prince, as well as South Africa's Toya Delazy, for the Best International Act  in Los Angeles. DSTV Channel 135 will telecast the event on Tuesday July 2 at 6pm.

This year, organisers say, the BET is more than an awards show;  it is a celebration of music, entertainment and Black culture. The awards will be three days of entertainment with a lineup of performances from Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Ciara, Miguel, T.I, Snoop Lion, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey to Nicki Minaj.

Wanlov plays at Glastonbury

Three Ghanaian musicians, Deborah Vanessa of Uncle Obama fame, Mensa and Wanlov, will be performing at the Glastonbury Festival this weekend.

The Glastonbury Festival is the largest and most revered open air music and performing arts festival in the world.
Glastonbury regularly sees over 150 000 festival goers coming together in a huge tented city to experience something truly memorable. 

The festival has played host to some of the biggest names in music including Beyoncé, Coldplay and U2 and musical greats Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and David Bowie.

The six-hour production will screen live on BBC Entertainment (Channel 120) tomorrow  Sunday, June 30, at 5 pm.

The CEO tells the story of two employees taken over by anger and rage after they are unfairly dismissed by their employer. The two men then scheme to take revenge on their former employer.

The CEO stars Desmond Elliot, Nadia Buari and Roselyn Ngissah today Saturday, June  29, at 7:30 on AfricaMagic (Channel 151).

Enters Ebony Life

Ebony Life TV, the brainchild of Nigerian talk show star Mo Abudu, debuts on DStv on Monday,  July 1 and promises to deliver a fresh new energy and perspective to audiences on  the continent.
