KUMAWOOD actor and President of Ashanti Regional Actors Guild, Bill Asamoah has graduated from the Christian Service University College at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Bill Asamoah graduated with a Masters Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation and he hopes he will bring his newly acquired knowledge to bear on the activities of the Actors Guild in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking in a post-graduation interview with the Graphic Showbiz, Bill Asamoah said it was a year’s intensive course, “It was very intensive but with determination and hardwork, we got through it and here we are today.”
He added that it wasn’t easy going back to school after his first degree in Public Relations but he psyched himself and went all out for it.
“Learning itself was not easy, waking up to burn the midnight candle as well as working and taking care of the family, one just had to adjust himself to suit the process and thank God for seeing us through.
“Looking at myself as an actor, I told myself now we have been given structures and as a leader, I told myself that I needed the skilsl to help the guild in as many ways as possible and I thought Monitoring and Evaluation can help me achieve that, that is why I went for that”, he explained.
Bill Asamoah stated that he was motivated because he believes that you don’t sit at one place and get comfortable.
“One always has to soar, I believe that what I had wasn’t enough, knowledge is power so why not go for further studies so that wherever I find myself, I will be well equipped and be able to deliver whatever is expected of me”, he added.
Bill Asamoah has been in the local movie industry for well over two decades and has acted alongside the likes of Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Lilwin, Kwaku Manu, Kwaku Twumasi, Naana Hayford, Mercy Asiedu, Nana Ama McBrown, Emelia Brobbey and Ellen Kyei White.
