Berima Amo joins forces with Pat Thomas at Grachten festival
Ghanaian music fans and Highlife enthusiasts were in for a treat as two of the Ghana’a Highlife musicians, Berima Amo and Pat Thomas, shared the stage at the prestigious Grachten festival in Amsterdam last month.

The Grachten festival, held annually in the Dutch capital, is a celebration of classical and world music, featuring a diverse lineup of local and international artistes.
This year's edition was perhaps extra special for Ghanaian audience with Highlife star, Pat Thomas sharing the stage with Ben Amo.
The performance was part of an exchange programme by the two artistes earlier this year at the International Amofest in Accra.
They gave patrons a taste of Amofest at the Grachten festival with Berima Amo, a prominent figure in the new "neo-highlife" movement, joining forces with the ‘Golden voice’ Pat Thomas for an unforgettable performance that had the crowd dancing all night long.
The energetic All Stars AfroBand also delivered a captivating performance that celebrated Ghana's rich musical heritage.
“I'm thrilled to have shared the stage with my brother Pat Thomas," Berima Amo said in a statement.
“Our music has been a cornerstone of Ghanaian culture for decades, and I'm excited to bring our sounds to a new audience at the Grachten festival.”
Special guests including Bnnyhunna, Tallulah Rose, Peter Somuah, Kweku Mensah, and MC David Grutter spiced up the event.
Berima Amo told Graphic Showbiz that he is recording a new album at Studio 150 in Amsterdam with All Stars AfroBand and plans to release it on Saturday, November 23 at Cinetol in Amsterdam. Berima Amo is a trumpet master who has become an ambassador for West Africa's rich musical traditions.
After his jazz trumpet studies at Rotterdam Conservatory, he lived between Amsterdam and Accra as a musician and cultural entrepreneur.
Over the years, he has been hosting International Amofest to highlight the rich and authentic African sounds and also providing the platform for him to share his rich musical traditions.
