Akuapem Poloo photo classless but not deserving of jail - Tonto Dikeh
Actress Tonto Dikeh has urged Nigerians to sign a petition which wants Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo to free actress Akuapem Poloo who was last week jailed 90 days for the publication of a nude picture with her seven-year-old son.
In a Facebook post, Tonto Dikeh described the decision to publish the photograph on social media as "classless" but insisted it was not enough for Poloo to serve jail time.
Tonto who is also a single mother like Poloo also stated that she could not take such a photograph with her son.
She posted: "One thing I always say is No one can tell a Mother how to bring Up her Child, it only becomes society responsibilities when you are hurting the child.
"In this case i see no hurt here, Can i take same picture? No I cldnt, not even in the next life but Am different doesn’t mean The Act is Totally wrong..
"Classless? yes Sir but Not Bad enough to Go to Jail? No I don’t think so.. Dear Nigerians pls show some Love/support let’s get this petition document filled up and get Out Girl back home..".

The Nigerian actress becomes the latest high-profile showbiz personality to speak up for Poloo after similar sentiments were expressed by American Musician Cardi B over the weekend.
Cardi B took to Twitter to state that she had seen many mothers do such photoshoots and the intentions are not sexual or motivated by abuse.
I seen a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that .Even tho is not my style I don’t think she was going for sexual more going the natural idea.I think jail is a bit harsh .Maybe social media probation or community service. https://t.co/ncdwvggvFK— iamcardib (@iamcardib) April 17, 2021
She said going to jail over such a photograph was harsh and the actress should rather be given "social media probation or community service".
