Reynolds the Gentleman goes to Piano Bar

Singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Eugene Reynolds Kwame Addow, also  known as  Reynolds the Gentleman , will on Friday, September 9  be the main act at the Piano Bar, near the Greda Estates Roundabout at Teshie in Accra.

A participant in two previous television music reality shows, Gangstarz and Stars of the Future, Reynolds has slowly but steadily honed his skills and matured into a captivating artiste.

“I don’t want to be an ordinary musician. I want to be a great one. I like to learn and fuse different genres and rhythms of music to create new trends,” Reynolds says.

The young man is comfortable with a wide variety of music and says it is a way of meeting the different tastes of music lovers. He is, however, extremely at home with what he describes as Afro-RnB which is a blend of African rhythms with the African-American strain of RnB.

The 8.00pm Piano Bar show dubbed Live In Concert Phase 8, will also feature fast-rising young acts like Cina Soul, Sir Tino, Eyshun and Titi.

Manager at the Piano Bar, Eben Sowah, told Showbiz the venue has a programme of helping young artistes to reach wider audiences and Reynolds and his friends fit in perfectly with the plan.

“Reynolds is a brilliant young guy and already an inspiration to his circle of musician friends. We are all looking forward to an exciting night at the Piano Bar,” Sowah said.

Though he sees the soprano sax as his favourite, Reynolds is efficient on several other instruments and Piano Bar programme, he says, is an invitation to all to come and check out his singing and swag on different instruments.
