The Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has opened a private banking department to cater for the discerning and distinctive needs of the high net worth individual.
Christened the “Prominence Club”, it is also expected to offer a wide range of customised services ranging from wealth management to non-financial services such as property management, while giving access to extraordinary and exclusive lifestyle experiences.
A release issued in Accra said at the launch of the Prominence Club, the bank also used the opportunity to hold its maiden symposium for 2015 at the bank’s headquarters in the SSNIT Emporium Building in the Airport City.
The topic for the symposium was on tax planning and afforded participants the opportunity to discuss the recent implementation of VAT on financial services.
It said the symposium was organised in conjunction with KPMG Ghana, an alliance partner of the Prominence Club, and formed part of the several symposiums that the UMB Prominence Club has planned for 2015.
Addressing participants which included various captains of industry, the Head of Private Banking at the UMB, Mrs Elizabeth Naami Grant, noted that the UMB Prominence Club was an exciting new department at UMB, poised to make an indelible mark on the private banking industry in Ghana.
She said the Prominence Club offered a wide range of customised services ranging from wealth management to non-financial services such as property management and access to extraordinary and exclusive lifestyle experiences through Prominence Club alliance partnerships.
