It may entirely be poisonous to feed from the ‘business is difficult these days’ chorus, advises CEO Summit Founder, Ernest De-Graft Egyir, who says there are great Ghanaian business success stories to learn from.

Such are the businesses – 400 Ghanaian CEOs with real life business solutions and visible success – that will gather at the two-day 4th Ghana CEO Summit in Accra on Monday, May 20 and 21 to tell their own stories and to help shape the future.

On the sidelines of a Ghana CEO Summit Speakers Cocktail on Wednesday, De-Graft Egyir said the forum will see captains of industry shed light on navigating critical challenges such as building durable businesses that outlive their owners, expanding the reach of products and services, as well as what not to do when seeking financing.

“Most Ghanaian businesses do go multinational but sometimes there are opportunities outside Ghana, be it in Nigeria or Burkina Faso, but you still find them (not rising to the challenge) and I don’t know if it is the mindset or a cultural thing, they have what it takes but they still will not take the chance to expand their businesses

“At the summit we are bringing people who have been able to build their businesses across the borders of Ghana and indeed across many borders into pan-African businesses for them to share their challenges, their failures and how they were able to surmount some of these failures”, assured De-Graft Egyir.

Themed “Futuristic Economy: Technology Driven Future of Business and Governance for Economic Transformation”, the 4th CEO Summit platform will bring ministers of trade, finance, business as well as policy makers/implementers and industry chieftains together to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors and to leverage technologies to turnaround businesses.

He said in an era where job-creation remains a tough call, Ghana and Africa cannot afford to lag far behind, hence to need access what technology has to offer to secure the future and give hope to its people.

As part of the summit there will be a sponsor’s exhibition, networking sessions, a Ghana CEO Excellence Awards, a CEO Business case, and a Boardroom on Ethical Governance.
