Reroy Cables boss honoured in Nigeria

Mrs Kate Quartey-Papafio, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reroy Cables, ended  the year 2013 on a brighter note when she was honoured for being one of the entrepreneurs in West Africa with a vision of the future.

She received the honour at the 2013 Ernst and Young West Africa Entrepreneur of the Year Award held at the EKO Hotel and Suites in Lagos last month.

Mrs Quartey-Papafio, whose company manufactures fire-resistant electrical cables, conductors and accessories, was described as one of the entrepreneurs in the sub-region who had made a difference in their business domain and achieved success across a variety of industries and communities.

The latest award brings to three the number of awards won by the Reroy Cables CEO last year.

In September, she was honoured by the CEO of Communications Ltd of South Africa, for being one of Africa’s most influential women in business.

A month later, her company’s 4.0mm fire-resistant conduit cable was adjudged the “Electrical Product of the Year 2013” at the maiden Ghana Made Product Awards Nite organised by the Foundation of Ghana.
