HR Certification Centre focused on enhancing practice

The Country Director of the Human Resource (HR) Certification Centre, Dr Jeff Bassey has indicated that the centre intends to make significant contributions to Human Resources Management practice in Ghana and Africa at large.

He said the centre, among other things, also seeks to create a culture that would support businesses and productivity.

Dr Bassey who was speaking on the sidelines of the annual HRs Walk for Life health walk said, the HR Certification Centre had put in place some measures to achieve this goal.

He revealed that part of the initiative put in place includes 'The HR Relevance Campaign' which has been launched to promote the relevance of HR in today’s Corporate environment.

The Campaign, he said would run on all social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok) for a period of six weeks.

"This campaign is aimed at pushing the relevance of HR in the Corporate environment," he said.

"I invite all HR practitioners to be actively involved in this and make it a success," Dr Bassey added.

The six-week campaign would see the HR Certification Centre sharing content on the Centre’s various social media platforms with the hashtags; #hristhenewfuture and #hrisrelevant as part of the HR Relevance Campaign.

Participants and all HR practitioners were encouraged to join the campaign by posting and sharing the hashtags.

Aside from the contents that would be provided by the centre, practitioners were also asked to share their personal management experiences to motivate others.

The Marketing Manager of the HR Certification Centre, Mr Nyamekye-Dapaah said the annual health walk was organized to bring HRs across various industries into one space.

The annual health walk which was instituted in September 2021 the HR Certification Centre starts from Ayi Mensah to Peduase with a little over 5,000 Steps being covered by participants.

The event is focused on bringing HR professionals across various industries to socialize, network, and build a formidable bond to would spearhead best practices in Human Resources Management in Ghana.
 
Participants took turns engaging in various team-building sports after climbing the hill from Ayi Mensah to Peduase.

They also participated in a 20-minute aerobics session after which they were treated to free breakfast and massage at the Peduase Valley Resort.
