Aviation fuel services
As a testimony of our growing commitment to contribute our quota to the development of the local Aviation market, GOIL continues to expand operations. We have installed a containerized storage facility equipped with an airside bowser at the Kumasi Airport. This has enabled domestic airlines to receive aviation fuel, from Kumasi. Local Airlines can now fuel their aircrafts from Ghana’s second busiest airport with the provision of the aviation storage facility. In addition, GOIL continues to provide quality Aviation fuel for aircrafts at the Kotoka international Airport in Accra as well as Takoradi Airport, which fuels Helicopter operations to the oil rigs.
Bunkering activities
GOIL in addition to marketing fuels at the retail sector and being in the aviation industry offers services in the BUNKERING industry, fueling both local fishing and international ocean-going vessels. GOIL has a modernized pipeline bunkering facility at the Naval Base in Sekondi, enabling the company to now provide quality bunkering services to vessels. GOIL meanwhile is poised to take advantage of the expanding oil industry by investing more in depot infrastructure, projecting that will help to deliver quick and quality bunkering service to vessels. With the completion of the expansive tanks at the Takoradi Port, 13.5 million liters of Marine Gas Oil (MGO) will be stored close to the oil hub where international oil companies will be sited. Works have started on the bunkering facility at the Tema Fishing Harbour to modernise its operations. The facility serves fishing vessels at the Harbor by pipeline.
