BOSCH opens Labone showroom

BOSCH, dealers in home appliances, has opened its first showroom at Labone in Accra with a promise to deliver high quality products to the Ghanaian markets. 

Speaking at a short ceremony to inaugurate the showroom, the Vice President of BOSCH, Mr Allan Oyier said the company decided to come to Ghana due to the vast opportunities that exist in the country.

“We decided to come to Ghana because globally Europe is not growing much. The growth is very small but the growth opportunity is in Africa where everybody is coming to. It renascence of the African continent and we want to be part of that growth agenda," he noted.

He said Ghana is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa, noting that the company will leverage on the infrastructure development and human development strategy of the country.


“With people development strategy, Ghanaians are most widely exposed people in Africa, they are brilliant in terms of human resource capability and this is some of the things we are looking at leveraging to grow brand Bosch in this country,” he said.

Mr. Oyier said Bosch had been operating in African for over 20 years but most of their operations had been in South Africa and Morocco.

The Bosch Country Lead, Mr. George Smith- Koomson said globally, Bosch is one of the largest manufacturers of home appliances and it is the number three in the world.

He said the company has quality products; hence bringing its excellence to the Ghanaian market, adding that Bosch also has expertise in after sales customer services.

He said the company deals mainly in refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers as well as cooking and baking appliances.

The Chief Executive Officer of NOVOTEC Limited, distributors of BOSCH Home Appliances, Nii Lante Mills said plans are far advanced to make the brand visible in Ghana.

“We have taken two spaces in the Achimota mall and Junction mall, so slowly, we are rolling out to create the visibility that we require so that at every point you will have BOSCH appliances, which you can easily have access to,” he said.
