CAL Bank service personnel assist Bawjiase orphanage

National Service Personnel of CAL Bank have renovated the dining hall of the Country-Side Orphanage at Bawjiase in the Central Region.

They have also presented assorted food items and toiletries to the children’s home.

The project forms part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility, which encourages service personnel of the bank to embark on projects of their own with the purpose of affecting the underprivileged in society.

The group seeks sponsorship and also raises funds through allocating a portion of their allowances to finance their mission.

This year’s project is in two folds—the renovation of the orphanage’s dining hall and a fire control and prevention campaign at the Kumasi Central Market.

This year, The National Service Personnel embarked on two projects within their term of service with the theme, “Selfless Service To Humanity, ” geared towards  raising awareness of fire safety, especially within the market places.

The idea was selected because of the frequent fire outbreaks in market places.

A fire control and prevention control was held at the Kumasi Central Market as part of the project.
