According to him, mobilisation of funds is possible if the savings culture is inculcated in Ghanaians.

He suggested that the strategies should include ‘mouth-watering’ benefits that would make saving attractive to the public.

“With these strategies, most people will open bank accounts with the intention of benefiting from them and in turn end up saving and growing these savings,” Mr Nyarko-Pong explained in a chat with the Daily Graphic after the grand draw of the uniBank “Dash for 200k” promotion in Accra at the weekend.

Mr Nyarko-Pong said as part of the bank’s effort to improve its efficiency and the convenience of customers, it would deploy 18 Automated Teller Machines (ATM) across the country in 2015.
