Amansie West Rural Bank interacts with customers
Amansie West Rural Bank at Antoakrom in the Amansie West District in the Ashanti Region has held a forum to interact with its customers and the general public.

The forum was aimed at soliciting views and contributions from customers on the performance of the bank and the way foward in its operations.
Significance
The General Manager of the bank, Mr Mills Opoku Boateng, explained that without customers, the bank would have no business, hence the need for periodic engagement with the people to obtain feedback from the public about their services.
Concerns
Among the concerns raised by the people were delays in approval of loans, low interest on savings, and high interest rates on salary loans.
In their response, management of the bank promised to address the challenges raised to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operations
Amansie West Rural Bank currently offers generic banking products which include current, savings, fixed deposit and ‘susu’ accounts. The bank’s credit products also include commercial, transport, farming and micro finance loans as well as overdraft facilities to individuals and corporate entities.
The bank also renders money remittance services such as I- trans (Apexlink) E-Zwich and mobile money transfer. It also offers foreign remittance services such as Western Union, Money Gram and Samba.
According to Mr Boateng, the bank is currently taking steps to upgrade its software, which will be more customer friendly; “this will allow customers to have information on their accounts with the bank through their respective mobile phones.”
Appreciation
The Chairman of the board of directors of the bank, Lawyer Isaac Okyere Antwi, expressed appreciation to the customers for their loyalty to the bank and urged them to continue to do business with the bank. He gave an assurance that concerns raised by the customers would receive the necessary attention.
