ABii National to begin financial operations

The company, which was founded in 2011 and licensed under the Non-Banking Financial Institutions Law, 2008, (Act 77), would provide financial products and services to the public.

The Managing Director of ABii National, Mr Godfried Osei-Boakye, said the company's products and services were well-structured to enable customers to enjoy the benefits of one-stop financial solutions.

Mr Osei-Boakye said the company's operations would be anchored on its core values which include integrity, customer focus, service, creativity and accountability.

As a financial institution regulated by Bank of Ghana, he said it was authorised  to take deposits from the general public and institutions, give out loans and offer other financial services.

According to him, the company undertakes cheque clearing, direct foreign transfers, and other forms of international trade through their partnering banks.

The Head of Banking Supervision Division of the Bank of Ghana, Mr Franklin Belnye, who presented the certificate to the company, advised officials of the company to ensure that they always operated within the regulations of the Bank of Ghana.

Receiving the certificate on behalf of the company, a Director of ABii National, Mr Menson C.D Torkornoo, promised that the company would abide by the rules of the Bank of Ghana.
