Last Sunday, the 2012 African champions were dislodged from the top of Group D after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sudan in Ndola while the leaders, Ghana, won 2-0 away to Lesotho in Maseru.

The two sides are seperated by just a point with the last game to go in Kumasi on the weekend of September 6-10.

Having assumed the lead, the Stars have made it clear that there will be no turning back as they eye a win against their guests.

However, Zambia FA president Bwalya also fired back, saying they will inflict another defeat on the Stars when they meet.

“Yes, we have slipped from the top but it’s not completely over for us and we are sure of a win when we face Ghana in their own backyard,” the Zambia legend told mediamen in Zambia.

“While there are no guarantees in football, I’m confident we can beat them again because we have beaten them before (referring to their 1-0 win in their semi-final meeting at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations).

“I have no doubt we will go through to the next round. We will go to Ghana to beat them,” he said.
