Tonight’s Azumah Nelson Fight Night - Ayala, Oluwaseun set to explode
After yesterday’s weigh-in which saw the two top boxers on the Azumah Nelson Fight Night bill, Bright Ayala and Wahab Oluwaseun weighing a little above 127 pounds, the stage is set for a tough fight tonight at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.

The two super-featherweight contenders appeared lively and ready to brawl as they weighed in one after the other backed by their teeming supporters and supervised by Ghana Boxing Authority member, Alhaji Tofik Muritela.
If yesterday’s singing, chanting and recital of incantations by the supporters of the two boxers are anything to go by, then tonight’s encounter will be full of fireworks.
Ayala maintained that he would make light work of Oluwaseun, but the stern-looking Nigerian reiterated his eighth round victory to the crowd.
The Ghana-based Oluwaseun has promised to stop his Ghanaian opponent in the eighth round and put an end to his misery.
“I will finish him off, I would end the fight in round eight and he can’t continue after that”, the 27-year-old undefeated fighter told the Daily Graphic.
But the Bukom-based Ayala dismissed his opponent’s prediction as mere bragging, promising to prove to the Nigerian why he is nicknamed ‘The Checker’.
The unbeaten Ghanaian, who has fought 14 times without defeat said that he would win the vacant WBA Pan Africa Super Featherweight title at stake tomorrow.

Also on the bill is a mouth-watering clash between Felix Ajom and Abraham Osei-Bonsu for the vacant national super featherweight title.
Ajom is undefeated in nine fights, with one draw, while his more experienced opponent has fought 14 times, lost twice and drawn once.
He has vowed to stop Osei in the ninth round: “I have been working hard for this fight for a long time and I will stop Bonsu in round nine and put him out of his misery,” Ajom noted.
However, Osei-Bonsu warned Ajom that he risked his career if he dared step into the ring to face him.
“It is normal for him to brag but on the night when he enters the ring, that would be his last,” stated Osei-Bonsu.
