The meeting is expected to attract chairmen of the regional taekwondo associations, as well as taekwondo clubs registered with the federation and in good standing.

Frederick Otu Lartey, president of the GTF, told the Daily Graphic that the AGM would serve as a platform for the federation to take stock of its activities and review its performance over the last two years.

He said the federation was poised to promote taekwondo at the grassroot level and would, therefore, target practitioners at the community level.

“It will also serve as a platform to engage the representatives from the regions in order to properly coordinate their activities and bring it in line with programmes at the national level,” he said.

Mr Lartey further stated that Sarutday’s congress would further boost and enhance the relationship of the GTF and its member regional associations.
