They secured a commanding 65-36 victory over minnows C.Y.O., further solidifying their position at the top of the league.

From the opening tip-off, Spintex Knights displayed their dominance, setting the tone for the match. The first quarter saw them establish a significant lead, with a score of 20-5 in their favour.

The second quarter followed a similar pattern, as the Knights continued their offensive onslaught, outscoring C.Y.O. 21-11.

However, C.Y.O. showed resilience in the third quarter, putting up a spirited fight and outscoring the Knights by a narrow margin of 12-11.

Despite this minor setback, the Knights remained composed and determined. In the final quarter, they regained control of the game, outscoring their opponents 13-8, sealing a comprehensive victory.

This win marked the Knights' ninth consecutive victory of the season and their final game of the first round of the league. Their flawless record places them firmly at the top of the league table, with a two-point lead over their closest rivals, Braves of Customs.

Following the match, Spintex Knights player, John Teye, acknowledged that his team may have underestimated C.Y.O., who currently sit at the bottom of the league. Despite the relatively narrow margin of victory, Teye expressed confidence in his team's ability to maintain their outstanding form in the second half of the season.

Coach Selorm Thomas of the Spintex Knights made some strategic decisions during the game. He opted to give his starting five a well-deserved rest and provided an opportunity for the bench players to showcase their skills. Coach Thomas emphasized that this move should not be seen as an indication of a weak bench, as he has full confidence in the depth of his squad. He also highlighted the team's commitment to improving their rebounding in the upcoming matches.

With their remarkable performance in the first round, Coach Thomas expressed confidence that the Knights had all but secured their spot in the playoffs.

The team will now focus on further honing their skills and maintaining their winning streak as they look forward to the second half of the season.

As the Spintex Knights continue to make waves in the Greater Accra Basketball League, basketball enthusiasts eagerly anticipate their future matchups, wondering if any team can halt their remarkable progress.
