Razak: I want to move on

Enterprising winger of Accra Hearts of Oak, Patrick Razak, has pleaded with management of the club to allow him move on when his three-year contract expires in November after receiving offers from both local and foreign clubs.

The 21-year-old player has reportedly been on the radar of some clubs, including Guinea’s top flight side AC Horoya, Belgium’s RSC Anderlecht and recently Hearts’ fiercest local rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Razak revealed that Hearts had rejected any of the deals tabled before them hence his worry the Phobians were out to frustrate him.

"My manager has received offers from some clubs hoping to sign me for the new season, but as you know, I still remain a player of Hearts of Oak, so I can't leave now.

However, I hope when my contract ends in November, management will accept one of the many offers so that I can go and seek new prospects elsewhere," he said.

On his link to Kotoko, Razak said: "Personally, I have received some calls from some top people in Kotoko and the offer is good, but I can only accept to go to Kotoko if Hearts are willing to release me because I don't want my transfer to create issues between the two clubs."

According to Razak’s manager, Abdulai Alhassan, AC Horoya made frantic efforts to recruit the player about three months ago but their offer was rejected by Hearts, as they intended to keep him for another season.

Razak joined Hearts from Division One side, Tamale Utretch during the 2015/2016 league season and has been in top form for the Phobians and the national team, Black Stars B, helping them win the WAFU Cup of Nations in Cape Coast last year.
