Ramadan Race Meeting tomorrow

Fourteen new horses from eight different stables will line up in the Maidens Division of the 2016 Ramadan Race Meeting tomorrow at the Accra Turf Club (ATC), near the University Farms at Ashale Botwe.

The horses namely Blessing, Secretary, Nine Eleven, Biscuit, Mariama, Diplomatic Lady, Thunder Storm, Superior Lady, Sugar, Dante, Abokyi and Good Name, all weighing 9.00 stones, are expected to compete over a distance of five furlongs (100 metres) for various prizes at stake.

According to the organisers, High Rise, Avaro, Let Them Say, Ghana’s Pride, Bonanza and Zaza will compete in the Division 4B, Rule of Law, Young Man, Korle Gonno Boy, Omoni Olee, Marie Cruz and Shatter will also lock horns in the Division 4C event over a distance of six furlongs (1200). 

The Division 3B race will see horses such as Sea Never Dry, Hajia, Mr K, Sea Bird, Fresh Boy, I Thank God, Who Is Free, General Salute and Copter ridden by experienced jockeys like Joseph Lamptey, S. T. Madu, Jonathan Mensah and E. A. Dery vie for the ultimate.
