President lauds Kenpong's World Cup initiative

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his satisfaction with the impressive organisation of Kenpong Travel and Tours to send Ghanaian supporters to Qatar to support the Black Stars at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The President said he believed that officials of Kenpong Travel and Tours had already proved their capability in organising supporters for such a prestigious tournament, as they took Ghanaians to the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup.

While commending the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kenpong Group, Kennedy Agyapong, for his yeoman's job, President Akufo-Addo pledged to provide the Black Stars with the needed support to ensure a successful tournament.

Executives of Kenpong Travel and Tours, led by its CEO, Mr Agyapong, last Monday paid a courtesy call to the President at the Jubilee House to inform him about the progress of work to airlift supporters to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup in November.

"All the necessary security arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of our people.

"Hotel rooms, restaurant services and fun parks have been secured to ensure that Ghanaians who will travel to Qatar are well taken care of, " Mr Agyapong disclosed.

Agreement with Qatar Airways
For his part, the spokesperson for the organising committee of Kenpong Travel and Tours, Dr Karl Tufouh, added that an agreement had been reached with Qatar Airways to airlift Ghanaian supporters to Qatar.

"Our affordable packages will suit everyone's budget. We are looking at providing the best of services for our people," Dr Tufuoh added.
