Osei Asibey, Agbo Kitcher & Selby Agyapong Named in GA Cross-Functioning Committee

Ghana Athletics Vice President, Charles Osei Asibey, has been appointed to a four-member cross-functional committee tasked with steering the affairs of the association.

Mrs. Comfort Selby Agyapong, Vice President in charge of kids and women development in Ghana Athletics, joins the committee, along with Mr. Andrews Agbo Kitcher, assigned the key role of leading matters related to fundraising and sponsorships.

Meanwhile, Sulemana Zacharia Yeboah, an educationalist and long-serving member of school athletics, is expected to leverage his technical expertise in overseeing all technical activities of the federation. As the former headmaster of Islamic SHS, he will focus on improving coaching standards, introducing development programs and policies, and providing training and mentorship for technical officials.

Agbo Kitcher's responsibilities include ensuring a significant improvement in the financial situation of the federation through the strategic sourcing of vital resources in financial facilities.

Osei Asibey, in addition to managing administrative affairs, is tasked with spearheading a new restructuring program for the federation and handling its corporate affairs.

During the tenure of the new executives, a key focus for the federation is to develop programs and strategies to unearth talents. Mrs. Selby Agyapong is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring an ongoing program to spark the interest of young school girls in the sport across the country.

The new executives have already held a meeting with the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif.
